Student Support

We help ALL students succeed!

At Paris School, no child is left behind. Utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach, our specialized professionals identify and respond to the academic, emotional, physical, and/or special education needs of our learners.

Students may benefit by spending structured time with a certified teaching aide in the classroom, visiting our reading specialist for fluency interventions or distraction-free test-taking, touching base with our guidance counselor for social needs, and/or following a medical care plan under the supervision of school nurse. Our special education students receive instruction and support from our multi-categorical special education teacher, school psychologist, speech and language pathologist, and related service providers. Constantly and consistently, we work to remove barriers and maximize the learning potential of every student in our care!

  • DAILY SUPPORT ACTION:
These scheduled “brain booster” sessions provide one-on-one intervention to students who require additional curriculum support.
  • RESPONSE-TO-INTERVENTION (RTI):
RTI protocol assists Paris School specialists and faculty in identifying students who may benefit from a personal academic intervention plan. Throughout the process, student responsiveness to custom interventions is repeatedly assessed  and adjusted to bolster learning and educational results.
  • TITLE I PROGRAM:
Paris School offers supplemental instruction that provides identified students with additional opportunities to develop and master learning strategies.
  • ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS (ELL) PROGRAM:
Directed at students learning the English language, our ELL program provides instructional programming to promote second language acquisition and academic success.
  • SPECIAL EDUCATION:
Our multi-disciplinary special education team tailors programming to individual students identified with, but not limited to, speech and language, learning, emotional and behavioral, and physical disabilities. We work closely with parents and support professionals to meet the specific needs of each student.
  • GUIDANCE SERVICES: Attention to the personal and social well-being of our students promotes a positive and peaceful learning environment! Our school guidance counselor provides valuable monthly character education, targeted individual and class discussions, and an open and accessible resource for all students.
