Our peaceful location means Paris School students are free from the distractions of other schools. This equals more learning for ALL! In addition, our small size means individualized attention is the rule. Our ability to respond efficiently and effectively to EVERY student’s individual needs creates academic and social success above the rest.

As an independent, single-building, K-8 school district, we are free to establish our own educational standards for students at all grade levels. Our comprehensive curriculum meets Common Core State Standards and our academic expectations, trimester structure, daily learning blocks, grading approach, assessment rubrics, conference schedules, and even daily recess breaks are designed to maximize learning for kids.
- CURRICULUM-ENHANCING TECHNOLOGY:
Paris School students receive the tools they need to succeed! Our ongoing Paris School Technology Initiative equips our school with infrastructure and our students with progressive, cutting-edge technology at their fingertips. Every Paris School classroom features a SmartBoard with Learn 360 video-on-demand. Our primary grades utilize iPads and Osmo technology while our middle schoolers enjoy a 1:1 laptop ratio. In addition, our 3D printing Maker Lab adds an experiential dimension to our STEM curriculum!
- ONGOING STUDENT ASSESSMENT:
At Paris School, we evaluate student academic status repeatedly each school year with skill-based assessment tools such as Measures of Academic Progress (MAP), Phonological Awareness Literacy Screening (PALS), the AIMSWEB assessment system, and Six Traits of Writing analysis. With results in hand, we design effective education strategies to tap each learner’s potential. Our differentiated classroom instruction, written- and spoken-word applications, technology-supported lessons, multi-grade learning experiences, small group activities, and one-to-one targeted interventions are designed to reach students however they learn best.

Within our school walls, we work to lift students up from wherever they begin. No matter the starting point, our nurturing educational approach builds confidence in kids, teaches problem solving skills, and prepares learners for their next academic steps. Our skilled educators expertly assess students to accurately identify those who may have special learning needs or who may benefit from increased challenges. From special education programming to enrichment opportunities, the success of each and every student is our number one priority!
- SAFETY, HEALTH AND SECURITY:
The safety of all Paris School students and staff is paramount. Our comprehensive safety, health, and security standards include regular building and grounds maintenance and repair, daily building cleaning and sanitization, student drop-off, sign-out, and pick-up procedures, video surveillance and building visitor screening, chaperone and volunteer background checks, consistent student disciplinary guidelines, individual student health treatment plans, trained staff first responder protocol, building security rules and regulations, emergency weather and lock-down drills, and a Crisis/Emergency plan that includes a direct link to The Kenosha County Sheriff Department’s Mobile Crisis Response Center. From the first day of school through the last, our Paris School team works diligently to create a safe, healthy, and secure environment where kids are free to learn and grow!
- WE BELIEVE IN BALANCE:
Paris School students thrive in our rigorous academic setting…but they blossom even more when given the opportunity to explore other types of learning. We know that art, music, and physical education “specials” develop young brains and bodies in vital ways that ultimately improve classroom performance. In addition, we believe in recess! Our K-2 students enjoy fresh air and outdoor free-play three times each day, our 3-5 graders have recess twice a day and our middle schoolers are able to spend time outside at lunchtime.

Panther Pride rules our school! We believe academic success and social success go hand-in-hand. Paris School students are expected to follow our school-wide Panther Pride code of conduct that teaches self-respect and respect for others. Our zero-tolerance policy regarding all forms of disrespect makes Paris School a peaceful, positive environment that builds citizenship, confidence, and competence!
- K-8 BENEFITS:
At Paris School, attending middle school is as simple as walking upstairs to the second floor of our building! Through multi-age learning experiences and our unique Kids Helping Kids mentoring program, Paris School 5th graders are acquainted with their middle school teachers long before their sixth grade year. Our superior academic standards and challenging curriculum continue in the middle school setting and provide our 6th-8th graders with the educational continuity and foundation that will fully prepare them for the upcoming demands of high school.
