What is Response to Intervention?
RtI is a prevention/intervention instructional model that is aimed at providing evidence-based interventions to students at risk for academic difficulties. The intervention program involves identifying students at risk through school-wide screening three times a year and provides a progress monitoring system for selected students who require more targeted interventions. Programming is based on a graduated three-tiered system of interventions, meeting the diverse needs of all students. RTI will provide us a structured approached to meeting the individual needs of all of our students.
